Find out Current Version of Firware
1.From the handset - find out your IP address:

Local Network
System PIN - the default is 0000
IP Address - make a note of it i.e. 10.0.0.5 or 192.168.x.x
2.Make a browser connection to that IP address:
http://10.0.0.13
3. Go to Status - this is your current Firmware version

Upgrade the Firmware from the handset:
1. Menu -

Firmware Update
System PIN - 0000
The firmware upgrade will start - please wait (this may take a few minutes)
When it is upgraded you may get a sort of error message that says server inaccessible.
2. Go back to your browser session

The firmware Version will now be the new version of: 022230000000 /047:00
EEPROM version: 179
if you went back to the handset and repeated the firmware upgrade you will get the message 'No update required', which means that you have the latest version onboard.
Please do the following:
1.Ensure your base station is connected to the mains power, telephone socket and network port.
2.When your base station is connected to the network port either on an ethernet switch or router,
the paging key will light up on your base station.
3. Router must be DHCP enabled - most routers have default set for DHCP - this will give any network
device i.e. your VOIP phone an automatic IP address. <If router is not DHCP enabled you will have to
give your VOIP phone a static address>.
4. Add your VOIP information.
Ensure you have username and password for this extension on http://77.240.48.113. You can add this
data via the Connection Assistant - Settings - Base- Telephony - Connection Assistant.
5. If this is all configured correctly, you will be able to make a connection to the VOIP Sever and
the internal name of your handset will be displayed e.g. X 4524.
6. You can test your VOIP connection by calling the Gigaset.net echo service:
Enter this t/ph number 12341#9, press talk key. When prompted speak into handset. If you hear
your own voice echoed then you are connected to the internet.
Firmware Upgrade
1. If your handset displays a message 'firmware upgrade' - press the right-hand key Yes.
The firmware download will start to load. It takes about 3 mins.
