If you are going out but still need to receive an important call, you can divert your calls to any number, anywhere. This is especially useful if you want to divert your calls to your mobile phone or a colleague’s office. This article explains the steps which are required to setup call divert on your incoming number.
Prerequisites
To complete this task you will need access to your VoIPtalk Portal. You will need to know the email address and web login password in order to log on.
Setting up Call Divert
To set up call divert for your incoming number please follow the steps below:
- Navigate to http://www.VoIPtalk.org using your internet browser and click the green Login button on the right of the grey menu bar at the top. Enter the email address that is registered with your account and the web login password. Click the green Sign In button.
- Once logged into your account, you will see a list of your incoming numbers associated with your VoIPtalk IDs under 'VoIP Accounts'. Click on the number for which you wish to divert your incoming calls as shown in the figure below.
- Now select the 'Configuration Option' as Divert Number and click on 'Select Option' as shown in the figure below. Note your 'Current Status' as you have to set the number back to the same routing when you want to remove the divert.
- Enter the number in the box that appears (include country code, e.g. 442071234567 for the UK) and click on 'Divert'.
- Please ensure that the VoIPtalk ID has sufficient credit to pay call divert charges.
